Mount Masami
Masami isn't currently up right now, we've been trying to get things running for a few years, but something always comes up. However, recently, we decided to get the team back together and get this puppy going. Currently, we're adding some new ideas in and reintroducing old ones. We should be up and running within a few weeks. If you're interested, feel free to roam Masami while we get things set up, or maybe you could even join and give us some feedback on what you'd like to see. Thank you so much for your patients and we're very very sorry!

Character name: John Putrard
Character age: 17
Character class: Mage - Healer
Character gender: Male
Email: cody.alexander2@yahoo.com

Description:

John is a well-built man, with some attractive qualities. He has long blonde hair that goes down to his neck at its length, though it looks thin it has a feel not so different from fine silk. The light blue eyes reflect the sky, the eyes his loving mother gave him. John's complexion is not far from pale as he did not get out much, thankfully his build of 6'1 200 lbs makes him stand out amongst a crowd though John doesn't find it so appealing.

John has a very reserved personality, he does not like to show or share his emotions with others. Though he is more than willing to go out of his way to help a friend; he tends to keep to himself in most situations and rather not get involved in quarrels. John is very observant and his interest in Psychology tends to be a hobby of reading a situation and figuring it out. He can be very insensitive at times, and caring at others; but needless to say he is very mood dependent.

John Putrard - Busa Picture669

History:

John lived in a very rich household, his family was self-centered and unbearable; a stereotypical rich family you could say. John wanted no part of this, he kept to himself for the most part; choosing to stay in his room or visit the gym to relieve some stress. His family consists of 4 members, his father John Putrard Sr., his mother Shari Putrard, and his sister Dani Putrard. When he was forced to the dinner table to have the occasional family dinner he chose to keep quiet and let the three bicker amongst themselves about things that uninterested John. He felt like an outcast for so long that soon he believed there was no need for the world he lived in.

John spends his day in a routine, and uniform fashion: waking up, getting ready, walk to school, sleep at school, find anything to keep him away from his parents until he went to sleep. It was relatively boring life, but he didn't mind too much, all this time allowed him to maintain his strength in the gym and increase his intuition while sharpening his mind.

Role Play:

Seventeen now, John has survived the years in his corrupt household and is only a month from being set free. John wakes up, doing his usual morning routine, and is out the door; met by the limousine driver who always asks to drive him to school, which he politely turns down as he enjoys the walk to school. John stared up at the sky as he walked on, a beautiful blue sky, a sight his eyes rarely had the opportunity to feast upon.

He felt a jerk as he looked down, realizing he had ran into something. That something was a young boy, no older than 10, who was now on the ground crying, as he had been knocked off of his bike. John took the young boy, who was now only sobbing, and set him on his feet, proceeding he took the bike, making sure nothing was broken, and stood it back up for him to climb onto. The boy's eyes pierced through John, they were gentle and innocent, he envied the boy as he sent him off with a pat on the head. Today was going to be a good day, John could feel it.

Since the event this morning John decided not to go to school, which he knew he would be later scolded by his parents but did not care as he was having too good of a day for it to be routine. There was a path near an old house he heard kids talking about once during his calculus class, as he recalled it was only a 5 minute walk from where he currently was.

The house stood petite, with a peculiar gray haze around it. He finally found the path and followed it for several minutes until he found a single tree. This tree was large and thick, "I guess this is a good spot to take a nap." John told himself as he leaned back against the giant tree and went to sleep.

When John awoke he felt lightheaded and a little dizzy, but he shook it off after a few moments. When he regained his composure he looked around and noticed that instead of just the giant tree he was surrounded by trees. He had no idea what was going on, but he had a feeling that things weren't exactly the way they were when he woke up

A day that seemed so peaceful at the top of mount masami was quickly going to make a 180 flip. As Yuko was taking a nap in Cherry Forest to enjoy the peaceful sounds the little creatures were making, a sudden roar came from Demon Trees. The monsters in Demon Trees are rarely ever too dangerous since most monsters are weak creatures, but every once in a while, there could be something in there that was too dangerous for the safety of the creatures.

Yuko jumped up knowing the drill by now. The run from where she was to Demon Trees wasn’t too far of a distance, but she had to be careful not to ware herself out. The soft blossoms from the cherry blossoms that softly brushed past her face quickly turned to crispy black leaves that roughly hit the side of her face. Her feet suddenly made crackling sounds on the crumbling and dead leaves underneath her. The air was dense and hard to travel through her pacing lungs after a tough run.

A roar shook the land again and more dying leaves darted down from the sky. Something was out of place near a tree trunk out in the distance. The majority of the colors were dark and shady but what was off in the distance had some sort of brightness to it. It took her a while, but her keen eye sight focused on it. It was a kid sitting there just relaxing. Yuko took a quick gasp of the dense air when she realized what it was and began running towards him.

“Hey! I would get out of there if I were you!” She ran some more towards him when another sudden roar almost made her loose her balance. “God damn it, why’d you have to pick a time like this to start attacking everything.” She whispered to herself. She regained her balance and started running towards the kid again before the monster could get to him.

Paragraph Count: 3

John kept feeling a pounding in his head that felt like it was sending him off balance. "Must be one bad headache." John groaned as he felt himself lean up against the giant tree for support. The pounding returned with wails that made John clap his hands over his ears to keep his eardrums from bursting. When the wail subsided, along with the piercing ring it left in his ear, he heard a voice in the distance but was unable to figure out where the sound was coming from or who was calling to him.

"They finally have caught up to me, I guess the fun couldn't last forever." John said almost laughing to himself in the misery he knew would come. "I'M COMING!" he yelled as he took a few steps in each direction "Where are you?" Expecting his mom to come into view, face red with rage and cheeks puffed out with the words she would use to scold him.

John had wished it was his mom coming to give him harsh words, instead he was met by a large figure. He didn't even get to take a look at the thing as he darted in the opposite direction he had found it, away from the tree and the setting sun which was casting a large shadow over anything, making it seem dangerous. John chose a solid tree, almost the same size as the last one, several hundred yards from where he had been as far as he could tell. He positioned himself behind it, with his back to the trunk, catching his breath with a agonizing pain. This is a forest, is the fresh air always so dense? John thought to himself as he sat in wait, hoping the beast would pass him by in this maze of trees.

I tried to be more specific on where I was, where I was going, and how far I went. Let me know if I overdid it with the directions or if I still need to be more specific.

Paragraph Count: 4

Yuko finally made it to the kid around her age hiding himself around a tree trunk. She was frustrated seeing him just running around randomly. The monster was coming straight towards the two after he heard them yelling back and forth to each other over such a long distance. Yuko still had time to greed the guy. Her lungs were pumping hard that Yuko sounded out of breath. She jogged a little more to his body and kneeled down. She ripped open the dirty yellow bag quickly to try and save time but she found herself struggling more. As she struggled, she tried to calm herself by talking to him. “Hi, I’m Yuko..” Her voice trailed off as the bag finally burst open.

She pulled out some herbs she found in Cherry Trees. Daichi told her they help calming the body and helps the lungs calm down while breathing dense air. “Here, eat this. Stay out of the monsters sight, and just stay behind this tree. Don’t make any sudden movements.” Her orders were being interrupted by the rude monster that was thumping towards them. She groaned in frustration before she continued “If the monster sees you, it just makes it harder for me.” She looked into his eyes with determination as she ate her own herbs real quick. A sweat bead rolled down her salty face before she got back up. She wiped her face and left a small smear mark on her forehead.

She dashed around the corner of the tree with her sword in both hands aiming towards the monster. The monster was lean with it’s bones piecing out in multiple places on the body. The head looked far too big for its body and his horns were far to small for his head. He looked like a starving large lizard. Yuko let out a “Hmph” before she went after him. “You won’t last long!”

Yuko jumped up into the air and, with her sword, cut right across the monsters neck. The sword ripples through the skin like butter. The neck was so thin, she thought it would be easier to cut it’s head off rather than stabbing it to death. The end of the neck finally sprung from the sword. Yuko landed gracefully on to dirty ground with her sword landing right beside her, still in her hands. There was a satisfied feeling in her as she heard the head of the monster roll onto the ground and the rest of the body thumping with it. She turned around with a pleased look on her face as she wiped the dirt off her hands. “Easy”

Paragraph Count: 4

"John." was the only word John could get out, his mind finally having a chance to catch up with what was actually going on. The girl had suddenly slid next to him and began searching through a peculiar yellow bag.

Here, eat this. Stay out of the monsters sight, and just stay behind this tree. Don’t make any sudden movements.” Her orders were being interrupted by the rude monster that was thumping towards them. She groaned in frustration before she continued “If the monster sees you, it just makes it harder for me.” John felt his chest on fire, though whether it was from his burning lungs finally being soothed or the fire of hope he had just found, knowing he did not have to face this monster alone. Doing as told, as a good guest does when in someone elses home should, though it was hard to figure out where he was; he had realized this was no longer the place where he had started his day and figured if the two of them survived he would find more out from this girl.

He heard her mumble some words, though he thought they might be pleas for help he decided to stay where he was and obey the wishes that had burned their determination into his pupils. He heard a slice and a thud, he cringed. He knew she had lost, there was no way she could win against such a beast, he almost decided to get up and begin running again until he heard a voice coming towards him that left him stone-cold in fear.

"Easy" was all that was said before he breathed out the air he had been unconsciously holding in his lungs, though the herb helped it still hurt to breath too deeply. John came out from behind the tree to find Yuko covered in sweat and some blood, which he noticed was the same color as that oozing from the head laying on the ground. John cringed at the sight, he hated seeing anyone hurt, and he almost rushed up to tend to any wounds Yuko might have had. Though he knew it wouldn't help any, he had no linen or any of the such. In fact, all he had was the small swiss army pocket knife he always carried in his pocket, though it would do no good. His pocket knife held no comparison to the blade Yuko wielded, John slumped at the thought of his cowardice, usually he was one to jump in and protect, rather than be protected.

ooc: If you've already noticed, I added Paragraph Counts in both of our posts. I'm fixing up the exp and coin system right now and it will be based off of our paragraph numbers. Just continue having a paragraph count Smile
Paragraph Count: 3

Yuko watched John come around the tree. “I guess it's time we begin talking about the details, lets start back from the beginning. Hi, I'm John Putrard, I come from Earth.” Yuko giggled at his quote for a little bit. She acted like what just happened never did and continued to giggle.

“I’m sorry for laughing, it’s just whenever someone comes from earth, they typically have a different reaction.” Her giggle fit had calmed by now when the words she spoke had broken through her laughter. “When I first traveled here, I actually thought I was still on Earth.” A serious but welcoming tone had come across her vocal cords while she let her arms drop. “This is Mount Masami. You can’t tell now since we’re surrounded by trees in a forest, but this mountain is actually floating in the air. I would advise you to not fall off the edge.”

Her breath had finally caught up with her and she was able to breath in a steady pattern. Smaller roars were echoing through the trees once more, but they weren't any more powerful than what she had just killed. “You know, it’s a little awkward introducing ourselves next to a dead lizard corpse. Other monsters can probably hear us too. We should probably head out of here since you’re not even armed.” She walked past the kid slowly. When she turned around the dark tree where he was hiding before, she found the bag laying perfectly where she had placed it. She slipped her arm through one loop and let it slide down her arm. “Alright, let’s head out. I’ll show you the base of my home.”

Paragraph Count: 4

John tilted his head as he was confused by the girl, now laughing, it was a peculiar sight to behold. I girl in blood, carrying a weapon and to top it off, laughing. It was too much to handle and John got caught up in the infectious laugh himself, only allowing a small chuckle before he calmed himself down.

I’m sorry for laughing, it’s just whenever someone comes from earth, they typically have a different reaction.” Yuko had lost her laugh by now. “When I first traveled here, I actually thought I was still on Earth.” Now the laughing girl became serious, as she once had when demanding he stay hidden, John knew well to not take this information lightly. “This is Mount Masami. You can’t tell now since we’re surrounded by trees in a forest, but this mountain is actually floating in the air. I would advise you to not fall off the edge.

"No offense taken, I was pretty sure this wasn't Earth when that monster came crawling out of the woods. It was a big red light." John said with a flustered voice as he had embarrassed himself."Mount Masami, got it. Don't fall off the edge, check. And of course, a floating mountain, which I hope has someway of getting back to Earth?" John said asked, almost begging her to answer in the affirmative.

You know, it’s a little awkward introducing ourselves next to a dead lizard corpse. Other monsters can probably hear us too. We should probably head out of here since you’re not even armed.” Yuko said to him, which John quickly nodded his head in agreement too. “Alright, let’s head out. I’ll show you the base of my home.” Before the girl could even say it he was on her heels, not waiting for the next monster to take him by surprise. "I am with you." John quickly said as his head darted from side to side, scanning for any other dangers, at which he would quickly yell at Yuko to save him."

“No, there’s no way back.” The words are always hard to speak every time she has to break the news to people. She doesn’t know the people that they left behind. All she knew was her dad that she cared so much about was gone forever and she would never be able to see him again. There could very well be people they left behind that were important to them. She tried to hopefully bring a little brightness to her words. “Well, at least that’s what I’ve been told. I’ve been here for almost a year now and I haven’t found my way back home though. Maybe there is and we just have to be patient.”

The two have been walking for some time now and they emerged from Demon Trees a while ago and are now taking a stroll in Cherry Forest. “You know, this is my favorite place to be.” She sat down on the bridge that was so elegantly placed there. “I like to see new creatures everyday that I would have never found on Earth.” She started looking around for Daichi. She figured John would want to stay with Busa and she always introduced people to Daichi for approval of joining. A sharp whistle blew from her mouth followed by an echoing call for Daichi’s name.

Daichi’s powerful wings caused a gust of wind to manipulate the plants and stray dirt on the ground as he flew by and started landing to the ground. His clunky hooves thumped to the ground as he slowly pushed his weight into each bulky leg. He stood tall over Yuko, looked at Yuko, then at John standing next to him. “Hey Daichi! This is John. He just traveled here and he’s got no place to go. Would it be a bother is we kept him around?”

Daichi never took his eyes off of him. “What kind of things are you willing to do to help us out?” He stood tall to try to prove dominance over him and to get John to know where he stands. Daichi didn’t want to scare him silent though, so he took one last flap of his large wings to settle down and backed off.

Paragraph Count: 4

No, there’s no way back.” His heart suddenly sunk, it wasn't exactly that he would miss anyone, rather that it was the feeling of loss. John turned his head up towards the sky he loved, but he knew this was not the same sky he had spent so much time with. “Well, at least that’s what I’ve been told. I’ve been here for almost a year now and I haven’t found my way back home though. Maybe there is and we just have to be patient.” John turned his head up towards the sky, a nostalgic feeling as always. "I don't really need to go back home, this sky will do me good. I can feel it growing on me already." He said with a halfhearted smile, he didn't care much for talk until they arrived at Cherry Forest, which Yuko broke the silence.

You know, this is my favorite place to be.” Yuko sat down on a bridge, almost exactly as you would see it in a painting, John thought. “I like to see new creatures everyday that I would have never found on Earth." John became a little upset with himself, he realized that what had just happened to him, had also happened to Yuko. She had clearly been here longer than him, and he hoped she had a better family life at home, though it would have made it painful for her to leave. "You know, I think I would like to stay here with you." He said, beaming with a smile this time, though it was mostly for her.

Suddenly Yuko let out a loud whistle and called to someone named Daichi. John was a little startled, to say the least, to see a giant Pegasus set itself down was not the first thing he had expected. John felt the same piercing stare that Yuko had given him, only this time it was from Daichi. “Hey Daichi! This is John. He just traveled here and he’s got no place to go. Would it be a bother is we kept him around?” John almost fell on his back after hearing her stand tall to this magnificent creature, and to do it in a cheery tone left him breathless. Who was this girl? He thought to himself.

John was quickly brought back to reality, and the deep eyes of Daichi, as he heard a thunderous voice speak to him “What kind of things are you willing to do to help us out?” John couldn't find any words, this creature was so beautiful, but at the same time it was powerful as it stood strong above him. It was as if Daichi had read his mind, the Pegasus spread his wings and backed down a little. "I don't know what you lack. I can do manual labor if necessary, or I can tend to your wounded. Tell me what you need and I will find a way for it to be done." John's voice came through strong, though his body language didn't mimic it. His shoulders were slumped and he looked up at the creature almost like a child who had just been scolded.

OOC: Cool, also I was curious, am I supposed to incorporate my class into this? If so, should I do a realization of my powers, or some ceremony type thing =p as I said, new to role playing so not sure how to develop my character exactly. One more question, should I keep doing role plays in timeline with yours(where I begin with your first paragraph and respond), or just start it where yours left off?

ooc: You don't need to incorporate your class at all. Some people like to use their history like say someone was a hunter so they would be pretty handy with a bow and arrow. This is just to get used to our style of writing, interface, and a good story of how you joined the team. For the realization, you can do a solo quest in the quest area and write your own rp. You can even RP with someone else if you wish to. And lastly, typically, people start where the other person leaves off but it's not uncommon to see people starting from the first paragraph.. Most people tend to overlap the last paragraphs and then continue on the story so one person isn't the only one making the story.
Paragraoh Count: 3

Daichi let out a “Hmph” and turned away. Yuko knew that that was his way of approving people. Daichi was stubborn and fairly arrogant, but Yuko saw right through him. Yuko’s face was full of cheer when she heard Daichi’s approval.

Yuko was not set on showing him around their territory, but because their territory was so large with two forests to cover and a village, she thought it was best to just let him discover what he could on his own since she knew he has been in both forests now. Yuko took another quick look at her sword and was a little grossed out by the blood on her blade. She scavenged through her bag once more and found and old shirt that hasn’t fit her anymore after being on Mount Masami for some time now. She wiped the blood off real quick but not perfectly. Little drops and smears were still present, but not much of a bother anymore.

Yuko put back her old shirt and put the sword back into the sheath. Her eyes looked up again and without even noticing Daichi was already a while away. She started running towards the giant beast. Daichi heard her foot steps and lifted his left wing to allow her underneath. She let out a smile towards Daichi and they continued watching hoping that John was actually following.
