Who's Busa?
Paragraph Count: 4
Norm, Tagg, and Krypt traveled in silence through the pink leafed forest. Every so often a stray spark would trail lazily to the ground from the cyclops' flamethrower. The sun began it's decent over the horizon. Dappled shadows played over the travelers' faces. Krypt cleared his throat as the world lay down to sleep, "So... Who's Busa?"
Norm gave him a curt look before returning his gaze to the path they were forging, "Busa not one. Busa group humans. Yuko lead." With that the trio lapsed back into silence. They forged on. As the day waned and the sun handed the sky's reigns to the moon, Krypt couldn't help the feeling that they were being watched. He cast a glance at Tagg, the otter hovered contently at Krypt's neck level.
"Um... Norm?" Krypt asked aloud. The cyclops turned his eye to look at the human youth, "What lives in these woods?" In answer to his question Krypt heard what sounded like rustling in the undergrowth. The teen withdrew his pocket knife and held it relaxed yet ready in his hand. Tagg and Norm saw it and exchanged knowing looks.
"Need gooder weapon," Norm started. Krypt looked down at his pocket knife and felt his cheeks grow red. He quickly stopped their color-changing process. Norm continued, "Creatures live Cherry Woods. Bad things in Demon Trees." While that's reassuring. Krypt thought sarcastically. He bit the inside of his cheek and followed his companions through the now moon-lit forest. A pair of eyes that glowed in the reflected moonlight watched the party as it headed for the Busa camp.

Yuko awoke from a deep sleep that kept her dormant for almost a whole day. Every second she missed out on sleep since she had gotten to Masami had finally caught up with her. In return, she spent an entire day in a slumber. Her burnt out soul had finally arose to the sound of close chitter chatter by neighboring creatures. Her eyes flickered open cautiously, expecting a beam of sunlight to burn her eyes. She was relieved to see her dome above her head instead of the cruel sun.
Her body became warm and numb in response to her long stretch. Her muscles finally had a chance to move other than the occasional toss and turn during her day long slumber. As her limbs released from her long stretch, her head started to become lightheaded. She shook it for a while, letting her bright pink hair to whip her fragile face. She sadly ended up with a terrible head ache instead of relieving the irritating lightheadedness.
Her soft and nimble hands held onto her head as she crawled herself out of the hut. Her sore body had a hard time squirming out of there, but she eventually made it. Yuko was greeted by the torturing sun she feared to see since she awoke. The hand already on her aching head shifted to cover her tightly squinted eyes.
Her curious mind looked around the village for any major change she could have missed, but considering she was half asleep, she didn’t think much of anything. “Oh hello, there!” A shaky, old voice that came from a rather old creature from below Yuko’s waste, spoke. “I see you’ve finally decided to wake up!.” She greeted Yuko with a bright smile, letting her decaying teeth shine the most. “I whipped you up something to eat if you wanna eat it.”
Yuko looked at the bowl, and while it looked appetizing to her, she would much rather eat a few berries instead. “Thanks, but I’m not that hungry.”
“You’ve got to be kidding!” her crusty hand folded and placed itself on her hip. “You’ve been sleeping for a long time, I know you’re hungry!”
She felt defeated and she hated saying no to the creatures. Yuko reached down and ate the soup like breakfast she was served. It was warm on her tired tongue. It was actually quite delicious and just what she needed. She slurped the rest down then handed the bowl to the smiling old creature. “Thank you very much, that was amazing!”
Still very hungry, she smiles to the creature then walks off. She looks back for more interrupting creatures, and then begins her journey for some berries. About a mile walk across the village and she finally makes her way to Cherry Forest in a desperate search for berries.

Krypt felt a hand shaking him roughly. His eyes snapped open and he bounced to his feet in a defensive position. Norm stood where he'd been leaning over Krypt to wake him up. Krypt let out a deep breath and checked the position of the sun as best as he could. He'd obviously slept through the night. He rubbed his eyes as Norm straightened up.
"Busa close," the cyclops told him. Krypt watched as Norm picked up his flamethrower from the tree it had been leaning on. He hoisted it over his shoulder and set off through the forest. Krypt quickly checked his belt for anything missing and followed along. As the two passed next to a certain tree, Krypt saw Tagg's arm dangling down through the trees. With a mischievous smile, the teen grabbed the otter's paw and yanked. With a shout Tagg fell from the tree branch he'd been sleeping on, his hat floating down lazily after him.
"Who...! Wha...! Let me at 'em! Let me at 'em!" Tagg bellowed from his un-glorified position on the ground. Tagg angrily swept up his hat and zoomed after the retreating figures of Krypt and Norm. As Tagg neared them Norm stopped and held up his hand.
"Village here," he grunted, pointing past himself. Krypt craned his head to see around the massive cyclops. Through the branches Krypt could just make out some huts in a collection of what appeared to be a village. "Yuko here sometime," Norm announced. The cyclops turned around and began heading back into the depths of the forest.
"Where are you going?" Krypt demanded. Norm seemed to not hear him. "Hey! Where are you going? Are you just going to leave us here!" he shouted. Norm stopped and turned back around slowly. Without saying a word the cyclops raised his hand and pointed a single finger at the village. Krypt spun to make sure he hadn't forgotten anything. The village looked the same as it had before. "What was that all abou..." Krypt began. He turned around only to see that Norm had somehow vanished.
"Lookin' like the only way ta go is forwar'," came Tagg's voice from Krypt's left. The teen looked at the otter. Tagg gestured towards the village. Krypt nodded and squared his shoulders. With a deep breath, he and Tagg entered the quiet village. Krypt checked the sky again; it was still early, whoever lived here would wake up very soon.
