OOC: Nice to get to do this again after such a long time.
“Why are you doubting yourself?’ Her hand then lifted and landed on his leg to comfort him. “You saved all those lives back there. How could you question yourself after that?” John couldn't help but avert his gaze, it was almost mandatory that he do so. He watched the water go by as a warmth radiated from Yuko's hand "I just don't know what I am doing anymore. It is like I am not the same person I was. My attitude and beliefs are changing so suddenly, it feels as if I am at war with myself. I just don't know who I should be."
A sigh escaped from his lips immediately after the last word. If not for the hand on him he would have stood up and yelled, not in anger but frustration. Everything he knew was blurring, nothing seemed particularly right or wrong. Things he stood firmly against have been on the fence, falling either way over and over again. He looked up to Yuko's eyes for only a moment, then to the sky. The blue sky seemed to have a glum look, even though he knew it probably wasn't true.
